Beautiful work on this boat there buddy. I share your pain with the cold. My project is "on ice" at the moment too.

Re: 17 sea ox restore

Thanks guys for all the positive comments .I am having fun doing this project but have a long way to go i guess it will warm up soon i hope but there a ton of other things to stay busy on .A couple of questions i have are can foam be poured before the deck is put in and shaved down to striger hight . And has anyone used sherwin williams exterior porch and deck oil base paint on a boat deck i used some rustoleum in storage compartments and i gotta say it turned out as nice as interlux brightside for a 1/4 the price the porch paint is also custom tintable to more than 300 + colors

Everything really is coming along nicely...
As to your question about paint...
I just received this in my Glen-L Newsletter...
Latex Paint for Boats??? | Boatbuilders Site on Glen-L.com
I find it intriguing, because I have often thought about this very same thing...
While it may not be a universally accepted material for panting our boats, the article does point out some interesting things...
Hmmm, maybe...

Hey thanks gents for all the great feedback and info GT1000000 very interesting article on paint a and deck and some very valid points in it . i am going to try Sherwin williams deck porch oil base enamel for the inside and deck very much like interlux brightside which by the way is very durable i have a crabbing skiff painted with it and it wears like iron looks good to .Fishing brother looking forward to seeing you and fam at easter .low277 i have not seen very many of the sea ox's in any size either as for the 17cc i new the minute i saw it on CL i was gonna hafta have it first saw the ad 9/13 and was pullin here home one week after xmas2013 i had givin in even after 4 months of tellin my self that i did not need another boat. even after i went to look at it 3 hrs from home with the wife in tow mind you and while i was talking to the guy i bought it from and he was saying it only needs some minor cosmetics as i stood next to the hole in the deck that the guy that was selling the boats foot just had went thru and my answer to all of this was with a big grin was sold i will take it
