I think a 24 volt is a little bit of overkill for your boat but what the heck. A bow mount will definitely be easier to control but will still be a battle driving into that much wind. Just how it is - boats and wind don't play well together.

I agree on the 24 volt being over kill

If i just run the trolling motor on one battery(12v) will I,

A. loose half the power or
B Loose half the battery life or
C. All of above?

Depends on the motor.... If it's a 12/24 motor it'll be fine with half the power
If it's only a 24v motor it could either not work at all or even damage it.

Trolling with the wind is much easier,...

Putting two batteries in the front for your 24 volt motor will help,..

I would also suggest a pair of trolling bags mid-ship to help control the wondering bow in the wind,...
