150HPDI Low Oil light keeps coming on

A few weeks ago I was on the water and hit another boats wake and my engine cut out for 3 to 4 seconds, low oil light flashed on, and then all went away, motor resumed and light went off! I immediately checked my remote oil tank(I had added oil that morning), the cap was loose! But I still had plenty of oil in my main and remote tanks! Now every time i hit some chop or go above 50mph the engine momentarily cuts out and light comes on! Im stumped, but feel like it is something simple! Help!

Run the motor without the motor cover on it and see if the tank on the side of the motor is staying full.Most likely the filter in the main tank is clogged
