I own a 2000 Johnson 150 hp Ocean Pro motor - that is not equipped with a fresh water flush plug - I currently use the muffs to flush the engine after each use { which is difficult since the boat in docked in the water } I was wondering if they make a flush plug I can install in the motor ? If so, do you know where it can be purchased ? and is it easy to install ?

Thanks

I don't know about your 2000 year model, but on my 94 175 the flush port is built in. On the back of my motor there is a black plug where the pee stream discharges. If you remove this plug, you can screw in a garden hose to flush the motor.

Mike, You might look to see if you have the flush plug described. If so, discount marine stores and the BRP Dealer sells the replacement plug which is a lot like a garden hose quick-connect fitting. You screw in the male quick connect fitting, and when you want to flush the motor (running or non-runing) you connect the female fitting to the garden hose, turn it on and connect it up.
