Bought a 1970 Ski Barge, 14' (needs new floor, possibly stingers), with 70hp Johnson outboard (hasn't been run since 2014), and trailer. Came with all sorts of extra's, to include an ancient trolling motor and 6 seats. All for $50. Couldn't pass it up. If I can't fix it, it will be turned into a crab-cracking table/bar in my backyard.

I just joined the forums with the express purpose of pumping info out of the folks on here as I am not a mechanical or handy person, but am willing to try anything and I am not afraid of failure.

First question is.,, Are you willing to invest 2-3k and 200 man hours to end up with a viable boat??

So you're saying it's gonna be a bar, huh? ;)

As I am new at this, I was kinda thinking it would be under $1000. Four or 5 sheets of marine grade ply, some fiberglass, done. Evidently I'm thinking wrong?
