I recently acquired a '64 aluminum hull Richline. It's in good condition and the transom has been rebuilt in a semi-proffessional manor. It does not have the original Manf. plate anywhere on it which leads me to my question. What size of motor can I put on this thing?
I have a 10hp that runs great, but only pushes it about 5mph, with a tail wind. It has a thin plywood floor, trolling motor, and battery but that's pretty much it, well not including my 200lbs. While I know it will never be a speed boat, I would like it to plane out, or at least come close. I have a 25hp but am not sure if it will sink it, kind of scared to try it without some input.
Thanks in advance for your comments.
