Going to look at a 2005 21-7 Trophy with a 135 hp xl dfi opti max I like the trophy boats always did my question is on the outboard any pros and cons on the outboard? thanks
Well "jstrat" we've owned 90, 200, & 250 Pro XS Optimaxes since 2005, and loved them. Not the quietest outboards around, but fuel efficient, powerful, and trouble free so far. A single 135 v6 Optimax on the 21-22 Trophy CC might be a tad underpowered when loaded, but a water test should give you a good idea. Good luck !!!
I'm with The Rooster, its a good engine if properly maintained. Merc is known for being fast and powerful. The 135 is fine in my opinion if propped correctly but you will not have a speedster.
