Looking for ideas on putting a floor in my 12 foot v haul. I'm thinking of putting a wood floor on the bottom of the boat. Looking for ideas

Just go with a not slip paint on product and don't mangle your boat.

Got any photos?

Wood decks are too much weight for 12' aluminum boats, especially if you plan to frame it out of wood too.

You might consider using the Blue or Pink Slab foam from Lowe's or HD laid flat across the bottom of the boat with some 3/8" ext grade plywood coated with Marine Varnish or Oil based paint. That would provide a nice supportive floor + some added flotation. Not sure what the height of your ribs are but the foam is about 1" thick so something to consider. You can easily cut it with a band saw to make thinner strips too?
Using these materials would add less than 50# of weight to your boat which IMHO is acceptable for a 12' boat. But I'm not a Tin boat guy so could be that I'm wrong.

Yup.

Three bench seats for a 12 footer is par for the course.

If you are looking for a deck to walk around on you'll really want a bigger boat.

Which is great because you now have the perfect excuse to pick up another metal rig:thumb:

Foam and 3/8" Plywood. Electric Carving knife will cut and shape the foam to fit the curvature of the hull. Flotation and Flat Deck...BINGO!!!

I picked up the blue foam from lowes and used it as support
Under the deck. I screwed the deck into the braces of the haul
With stainless steel self tapping 1 inch metal screws. The deck
Is very firm. I plan on picking up carpet to cover
The deck but not sure on what to use to fill
In the sides of the deck to carpet over.

Is that 3/4"? Did you Seal the bottom side and edges with anything? You can make a good Home Brew sealer by using 1 cup of Boiled Linseed Oil, 2 cups of Mineral Spirits and 1 cup of Polyurethane. Paint it on and let it dry overnight. Really let it soak in well on the edges. 2 coats will really help seal the plywood from moisture. After 48 hours Paint it with 2 coats of Rustoleum Oil Based Paint and it'll last for many years.
