When I flip the ignition toggle switch I get nothing. I checked all the fuses, and wire harness looks good. I'm getting power to starter solenoid but no power back to ignition switch. If I am missing something let me know!!!!!

The quickest way to check it is to put a key switch pigtail at the connector for the boat harness. If you have power at the key switch, then your boat harness is the problem. I have replaced quite a few boat harnesses.

Do the gauges work or is it the mtr just won't turn over ??

First lets find out what motor you really have.

There was no 175 E-TEC for 2005. What is the model number as you may have a FICHT based motor if its an '05, or if it's and E-TEC 175, then it will be newer.

A FICHT has 8 fuses and an E-TEC only has 1.

I'm sorry it's a FICHT. It has the eight 10 amp fuses. All the fuses are good. I changed the boat harness. I'm not getting power to guages or the trim/tilt.

Did you try jumping the solenoid to see if the mtr would turn over ? Are all the battey connections on both the battery and the mtr good clean and tight ?

Yes I tried jumping the solenoid, and the engine will crank. I am getting 12 volts to the engine, but it's not coming back to ignition. I'm thinking that the EMM might have gone bad or that I have a bad wire some where.

seahorse5, you are quite correct. '07 was the first year for the 175HP E-Tecs.
