03 Yamaha 90 hp 2 stroke carb 2 problem

The second carb has excessive gas coming out of it shortly after start up causing motor to bog down. I cleaned carb, put back on but same problem. Would the prime start be suspect?

Sounds like your float needle valve seat has gone bad on that carb, overfilling and flooding that cylinder.

could it also be a bad reed valve? I am going to rebuild carb first

Probably not, but like mentioned you are going to have to take the carb off again and check/replace the needles. Did you put new kits in?
