    Older Boats

I prefer older. Engines seem simpler. How much older I'm willing to go depends on how work intensive it will be. I'm always up for a good project though. I just finished my homemade travel trailer. I didn't build it, I just fixed it up and did repairs. However, as for a boat...something new to...

    Older Boats

As I am looking for a boat, I have seen a couple older 1960's boats. I like these. They arent too long. I dont mind repainting it, or replacing the chairs and some carpet. I can work with wood. What I am curious about are the outboard motors. The few boats I have seen need an outboard motor and...

    What To Get?

$70,000 KAYAK??? wth??? I have a kayak i paid $80 for. Its inflatable due to storage space availability. And I paid $150ish for my inflatable paddle board. I understand paying extra for quality. But Geez! Im hoping that number is extremely exaggerated!

    What To Get?

Yes!It has changed. It may change as I research. I looked for my jeep for over year. Longer with my travel trailer. I need to make sure what I get fits my needs. Picking and choosing wants and needs as well! LOL! Having anyone other than myself, my husband and dog will be rare. And I am...

    What To Get?

Thank You All! So yes! This will be our first boat! I have thought about lessons. Especially for sailing. It will be mainly my husband and I with the dog. Kiddos and family will join us on occasion. But that will be for short periods of time. Hubby and I will probably do the short overnighter...

    What To Get?

I am looking for a boat that can go on the lake, river (deep rivers), and ocean. Being in Texas, we have access to all 3! So I am really at a loss as to what we can buy that we can use on all 3? I see the motor boats with the cuddy? cabins. The pontoon boats. John Boats. Sail Boats. Electric...

    Adding A Sail

I have seen a morized boat with steering that also had a sail. Is it possible to add a sail to a motorized boat? Is it safe to do so? Im in the research stage. Its the only motorized boat Ive seen with a sail. So curiousity got me. And it is exactly what I was looking for. WIth the small cabin...

    Boat Engines

I didnt know where to post this. Correct me if need be. I have been looking at some boats. The engines all need something. I dont know much about engines. I know about a few parts. Some are cheap and hard as heck to swap out. Some are expensive and easy to swap out. A majority just seem to be...

    HI! New Here!

The boats I have seen have been less than 20'. That seems doable. So the 14' requirement has changed. I have seen them with a small cabin surprisingly. Nothing fancy. Just a couch in the cabin. I can stick a porta potty and cooler or solar fridge in the couch storage.

    HI! New Here!

Thank You! Its going to be for me and my husband. Mainly to hang out, drink, fish. Sun tan. I have found a couple with a small cabin. They are about 20' in length. The cabin would be to relax or potty. I cant pee like a guy lol! A bit o privacy for me. On the lake or hugging the coast on the...

    HI! New Here!

I am looking into fixing up a boat. Preferrably 14'ish. Im not sure if I want a sail boat or one with an engine. Maybe a little motor on the back? Definitely a small cabin. I just finished my Tiny Travel Trailer. Looking for a new project. But not until I finish school in May. I still have a bit...
