94 four winns fling which engine

I do have the plate and exhaust; I also have 2 disassembled engines. Haha. But rather than pick and choose and source parts; I figured I'd just buy a reman, but if I'm dropping that kind of money I figured I'd ask y'all if any newer model engines would bolt right on.

94 four winns fling which engine

I do believe one would be called a bubble back; the other engine was slightly different in that regard...engines are in storage; heres the jetdrive if that helps... I figured the spline is about all that matters; I heard the looper is better than the predecessor omc or something...

94 four winns fling which engine

I bought a 94 four winns fling a few years back with a seized engine...came with a spare that the guy said worked but it was locked up even worse, full of snakes. Literally full of snakes, not just the guy. In my excitement I dismantled the engines and set them aside, not doing any research at...

    1980 skeeter sf150 - Johnson 140hp tilt/trim?

I found 5 check valves + the pressure relief... All are fine. Had heck loads of fluid in it, much more than I expected... my wonder is maybe it had too much fluid somehow...Haven't refilled yet to test, no fluid on hand. Guess my next option would be a big deal like in 1 of the 3 pistons or...

    Trim wiring.. 5 wire tt

Black and white werent connected; they were snipped a few inches back in the 3 wires were crimped and sent to the buttons. But the PTT won't tilt or trim down, has fluid, makes strong noise, does go up.. figured b4 taking the thing out to replace all the seals id hope these wires did something...

    Trim wiring.. 5 wire tt

That is not what I asked; I asked in a 3 wire PTT why are there 5 wires in the sheath... 10ga Red/Green/Blue power the tilt...can't figure out what 14ga black and white do.

    1980 skeeter sf150 - Johnson 140hp tilt/trim?

I'm only aware of the 1 valve... Bottom left flathead is a valve assembly..and inside that is a pin+spring/body/pin+spring, and deeper after that is a little push button that is so deep you csnt rrally do anything aside from push it... I assume this hole is valve body, pushrods, valve body...

    1980 skeeter sf150 - Johnson 140hp tilt/trim?

I tried ratchet strapping the engine down while I powered down and no go. Tilts easy with relief open. Runs, basically gurgles sometimes, not able to get it bled... If you run it down forever, the reservoir never has bubbles or pressure... If you run it up forever, the reservoir will always...

    Trim wiring.. 5 wire tt

I mean it's possible the obvious gauge is some sort of aftermarket addon and the 2 in the sheath were meant to be the original gauge somehow inside the tt assembly. Who knows, that's what I'm asking.

    Trim wiring.. 5 wire tt

Is this not the depth/tilt "gauge"? (It's a sending unit/sensor, not the gauge itself obviously) It's a different set of 2 wires, not in the 5 sheath.

    Trim wiring.. 5 wire tt

Well how do I operate the trim, then? Going past full tilt I either direction automatically engages trim?

    Trim wiring.. 5 wire tt

3 wires control tilt, they are Red (which is the feed/supply/constant) Green (down) Blue (up) Then I've got 2 smaller gauge wires in the same sheathing, black and white... Can't figure out what they do... I'm going to imagine they signal to operate Trim, as opposed to Tilt? They're not for...

    1980 skeeter sf150 - Johnson 140hp tilt/trim?

Also, does anyone know what the Philips on the other side does? There's the flathead fill plug, and on the other side, same spot, there's a Phillips....

    1980 skeeter sf150 - Johnson 140hp tilt/trim?

The lower pistons also never move; idk if that's relevant...saw it on another forum that those are supposed to move sometimes?

    1980 skeeter sf150 - Johnson 140hp tilt/trim?

I reassembled with new o-rings and manually pushed the spring loaded piston a bit deeper s couple times to make sure it had motion, feels smooth, as if the dowel of it properly depresses whatever's deeper. After fiddling with that and doing some more attempts at bleeding, which is hard since...

    1980 skeeter sf150 - Johnson 140hp tilt/trim?

Sorry, the Valve Seat Housing and Seal seems fine. The Piston, Let Down Control doesn't seem to be a functional item, or an item with moving parts...

    1980 skeeter sf150 - Johnson 140hp tilt/trim?

The check valve seems fine; it's not seized or weak, and I replaced the o-rings to no avail.

    1980 skeeter sf150 - Johnson 140hp tilt/trim?

How far I loosen the release determines the difficulty of lowering. If crack it open, takes probably 20 pounds to force it down. If I got a quarter turn, takes 5 lbs. If I go 3/4 turn it'll go down on its own.
