lets not forget the 1st repair was a blown out core plufg on the back of hte block, this indicates freeze damage. you very well have a crack in an unvisible area of the block or head. as suggested, hve the machine shop check it for cracks.

so i have been shrink wrapping boats for a few years now and i always add 2 vents to the job when i am done. it seems like more than 1/2 the boats are very mildew stained come spring when they are opened up. some people add damp rid others do not i can remove the wrap from 2 boats next door...
gates and dayco do not make their tensioners. a company that starts with an "L" does. non of my vendors could cross reference the tensioner so i had to get it from V/P
i got thelaser tool and in order to get the p/s puley to line up with the others, i had to crasnk the pulley onto the shaft so much that it nearly rubs against the bracket. it looks like it may lign up now but reall iffy;. the dam tensioner broke when trying to reinstall the belt. brand new...

i di order a dayco belt alignment laser so i hope to get some answers there.
the waterpump(circulator pump) pulley is twice as wide as the others, the belt sat flush on the pulley and did not hang over so what you see as out of alignment i believe is just the extra wide surface.
regardless i hae a new pulley to install. i will check the pump for loosener though

this outdrive cooked the impeller housing and in replacing it, the old lower sectin had 2 seals for the driveshaft and when removing them i found that they are both installed in the same direction. spring side down. now shouldnt they be upper seal, spring side up and lower seal, spring side down...

i need a new pump assembly but the 1500 dollar price tag for a v/p pump is ridiculous. this is the assembly with the high/low pump in the same assembly. the one for the mpi engine an bolts to the front of the engine.
this boat already had 1 aftermarket pump that lasted 3 years.
locks are for honest people, anyone can get around a lock if they really want to, these are to simply slow the process and get the thief to just move onto the next drive without a lock
yeah, has to be user added. and no. the cap on the transom plug was open. i will be removing this bastard of a set up prior to reassembly.
