    97 Chap Gauge Layout

Hi guys, I'm in the process of rebuilding my helm on a 97 Chapparel sig, Bravo 3. New gauge/switch panels, new gauges and new rocker switches. There's a gauge on the third row that is blacked out. Would anyone know what this might have been? Also, I can't seem to figure out what 1 of the...

    Sea-fire alarm on start up

Hi guys, On my 97 27'Chap, the seafire alarm sounds off when in accessory position. I find it really annoying, and it startles my guests everytine I start the engine. Once on, it stops immediately. What's strange is I don't see other boats making this house when they turn ignition key. Why...

    Transom leak near exhaust

I think the transom is okay. I notice it was a little soft on the 2 bottom round corners. So I scraped, sanded and cleaned around the assembly and put a nice bead of 4200 on there. Besides that, there's no movement when weight is applied on the back. Put it back in the water to test and still...

    Trim sender/limit wiring HELP

Hi guys, I've been piecing a 97 chapparal 27 sig back together from previous owner neglect. The more I go, the more I find. Replacing the trim limit/sender switches: I took off the lower unit and replaced all seals, bellows, hoses and trim switches. My problem is, the previous owner had cut...

Bravo 3 can you change gear oil line without removing lower unit?

Thanks for all the info guys. I did try and "splice" the line with brass barbs but it didn't work out. I don't see how anyone could change this line without removing drive-you would have to know the parts really well. I can't even get my eyes on the fittings let alone hands! @dubs283 , great...

Bravo 3 can you change gear oil line without removing lower unit?

First I/O, noticed greenish fluid under shaft and found a rip in the gear oil line. Can you change the oil line on the bravo 3 without taking off the lower unit? Seems like a bit of work to replace something so simple. Can't find any good information on it. Thanks
