    1978 Supersport 18

Baby steps (I feel like a toddler next to what y'all are doing lol) but winter's coming here soon and I'll be able to start drilling, filling, sanding, and painting!!! The General surprised me with an early Christmas present and gave me a much needed bimini. We still have a month or two of good...

Okay... starting to pull some things together for the restoration. Does nautolex (light color) get hot? Mississippi sun + aluminum + carpet = HOT deck. Any suggestions on a "coolish" (temp) material? Also rub rail. There's a whole piece of the rail (about three feet) broken off the starboard...

    Fun day!!!

Thank you for your support!!! It's nice being able to stay out on the water until mid to end of November (one of the few pluses of Mississippi, but it's a big one lol).

    Fun day!!!

Baby by my side, 78 degrees, low humidity, slight breeze, and an open lake. Life is good!!! Also four plus hours in the water (our first length of time) and after 20 years not a drop of water in the bilge!!! Hmmm.... won't load the video (file not video as expected)

Lol....FIL rigged that up many moons ago. With the boat came an actual trolling motor mount and wedges. That's one of the many things to be added during the restoration.

    1978 Supersport 18

Took her out for a shakedown this morning/ afternoon. Things went well. No leaks (as far as I can tell), motor ran smooth (a little bogging when getting on it but I think a carb rebuild will solve that). Typical Mississippi weather had us sweating like crazy before dumping rain on us for an...

Haha!!! It's Mississippi... it won't be cold until December 🤣.... but the 2nd tropical storm in two weeks might slow things down. I might have to try it out in the pond!!! 🤣🤣🤣

    1978 Supersport 18

I was just sitting here using the search and didn't find much... I've got some holes (mostly in the bow decking where a few trolling motor mounts were put in and taken out) and am wondering what the best way to fill these is. I'm not a welder but if that's the only way to go....

I know it needs a new wiring harness. FIL added the switch block to the dash but nothing is hooked up to it. Everything electrical (except the bilge pump) has to plugged in to use. Included with it was new pedestal seating and new carpet, new trolling motor and bracket (which I'll have to rig up...

    1978 Supersport 18

Started going through stuff and it's going to take awhile to figure out what's what. I've got two wiring harnesses, three trolling motors, two brackets (plus the homemade one mounted on the bow), various lights, trim pieces, and extra bits (tape player, horn, switch blocks, etc) and three...

    1978 Supersport 18

Well we got her home!!! No major issues. Tomorrow I'm going to start cleaning it out and going through the many boxes of parts and extras. I'll fog the motor and let it sit. After that I'll get a game plan together. I think once i figure out the homemade wiring harness and get the motor up and...
