I'm going to take the carb apart and check the float. I do owe that to those who are trying to help. I'll report back. And I'll double check the dwell. These are atleast starting points. Pun not intended

Oh I completely agree but shouldn't there be atleast 1 wet plug out of 4? I see the intake manifold is getting fuel in. Should compression check be done with all plugs out?

I have no idea without taking the new carb apart. This wasn't rebuilt by me, but bought new from I5 in CA. I can confirm the carb tag off old matchs the new carb. Doesnt mean much I know but without taking a new carb apart I have no idea. I guess I'll have to check and get back. I'm still...

Just doesn't explain dry plugs with gas clearly getting into the intake manifold. There is a pipe plug you can take out to visually see gas IS there. Even with no spark which definitely has, plugs should be soaked. All 4 plugs bone dry.

I by passed the original tank and there is a clear inline filter where I'm able to see gas flow from gas can. I was vedimitlly told all it needs is a oil change. He swore up and down. He bought 2 new bats, and you can clearly tell the outdrive was rebuild because I found the old gaskets and can...

Serial number isn't readable on the tag. But it's a 87 224. Fuel shoots out of where pencil is pointing. I used the old carb as reference. I can see the fuel spray from the nozzles doing it by hand

Sorry. It's a 87 merc 165 the mercs idea of Frankenstein haha. Yes points and condenser were replaced and adjusted. Definitely have good spark after rotor and cap replaced. Old carb shot gas out the top, that prompted me to replace new, but same thing with plugs dry.

I know many think their junk, I get it. I bought the boat any how. NEW carb, NEW fuel pump, compression 150-152 across all 4, NEW coil wires plugs cap rotor, still get gas shooting out of carb and plugs dry. Timing checked and TDC is correct. Valves opening and closing, still plugs are dry...

Really wish this post would've been concluded with a fix or not. Reads just like my issue

Arrow Glass Manual for starter problems?

Starter. Its clear the solenoid was replaced no mistaking that. Already did the jumper same as any vehicle, nothing. Pulled starter jumped to battery and nothing. It doesn't surprise me it looks rust and the armature is frozen. I'll take it to the autoparts store for a second test but regardless...
