    So I finally got the boat working well. Ended up being the wrong impeller for my year. only off by 10 thousandths of an inch. Boat stays at 160 all day long.

    Well might have figured out the issue . It looks like the low pressure fuel pump is on the top of the resevoir. Somehow likely during troubleshooting the previous owner got them swapped.

    True GT40 heads only came on 93 mustang cobras, and 93-95 ford lightnings from the factory and had 3 vertical bars on front of heads. Gt40p's have angled sparkplugs and came on explorers and are 61cc as opposed to 65cc which bumps stock compression ratio.

    Got the new muffs with heavy metal spring and dual inlet for hose. Hooked it up after verifying the pump does pump water in a 5 gallon bucket back into the bucket. Fired up the boat with the garden hose on and i am still not seeing any water movement...So then I tilted the outdrive all the way...

    Currently antisiphon valve is not hooked up.

    Almost thought it was power steering pump at first but could tell after touching the fuel pump it was what was whining.

    Well i swapped the gaskets and put some aviation sealant on either side of it and slapped it back on the boat. I put both ends of the hoses into a bucket of water and poored some water in the hoses to prime the pump. I fired it up and immediately got some movement of water! After about 10...

    Good to know i appreciate your response. I was wondering if i used the wrong seal as it came with two white seals and one paper seal. I will try some sealant to see if it is a sealing issue. If not im going to bite the bullet and buy a new one.

    Yes i replaced the shaft seal and watched for leaks and it looks good.

    I assume when you are on shore the trim is all the way up? Just wondering if by raising the trim it raises the water line in the y-pipe as water is shoved into your exhuast openings whether through the prop, lower transom, etc and the platform is helping to slap/trap/direct water into it?

    Power Steering Leak @ Actuator

    Everything I have read recommends atf only. If it was me i would evac what i could out of the system and give the atf a shot. But most likely the seals are shot. I just did this on my 96 four winns with the volvo penta actuator and it was actualy pretty easy with the seats and engine cover removed.
