    All parts were OEM? If so, spark plugs....connections and or wires are next to test. All wires and all connections. Funny grounds somewhere can lead to time consuming wild goose chases. Frustrating for sure.

    Points more to the power pack when this condition exist. Mc Tool....yamaha's both fire at the same time at least the ones I've worked which isn't many.

    It's a 2 stroke....find another outboard. She's done. Airplanes clime, then they level off and descend...outboards are going up hills all the time. If you get it running at home nicely...that's great but under load she will try hard....but.... As fast as spark, corroded wires and terminals...

    I have those brackets on my E-tec 115. I've done two of them. They should bolt right on...was your boat missed drilled? You said 3/8 off and everyone else said 3/16... Something is amuck.

    Looks like some of that lower price greenish oil that I've seen. Video was quick and hard to see clearly. Might not be bad at all. Like others have said, put it in a glass bottle and look at it tomorrow. Vacuum testing is easy though. Any intake manifold suction tester works and I screw it on...

    With the motor off, pull the plugs, put it in gear...and turn the flywheels clockwise while observing the prop shafts. To answer your question, clockwise is the default.

    Lots of terms I've never heard of. To answer racer question, were the parts ordered OEM? Also, there was a 10 lb difference in the compression reading? Just because it starts and runs now doesn't mean it will push you down the lake. Under load will be the next test.

    They look a little scary but I've never had a problem with mine. 25 inch 115 E-tec on a 20 inch transom. The good thing is, it tilts way out of the water when you tilt it up.
