    Thank you for all of the information. While I mentioned the smoking on startup my biggest concern was with the leaking of the gas/oil from the carbs during transport but it sounds like it is one of those irritating life events that you just have to put up with.     Ok, so if I just use the 10 pin wire harness I will have a warning horn for the low oil and over heating. I would still like to use the gauge for a tach so I know what my RPMs' are. I guess I will just hook up what is obvious and see what I have working on the gauge and go from there.

    It is definitely a garden hose connection so I am going with the motor flush idea. That being said, and I'm not the sharpest tack in the box, so my only question would be, why is it going to the intake manifold? It seems to me that water and intake manifold make a strange combination.
