    This is the piece that was in there not the nylon peice. It sticks out too far not allowing the full rotation of the shaft. I will order new nylon pin.

    Had the gear in forward as well to allow full motion. The throttle gear seems to have a lot of play.

    The throttle will not push the throttle plate all the way. Here is a video of it.

    This photo is with throttle position set to WOT. If you look inside the choke you can see the throttle butterfly valve not open enough for WOT.

    Haven't checked the spark yet but when taking a look at the throttle position I noticed that when in WOT it does not engage the throttle plate all the way. Trying to get a good photo to show you.

    I understand what you are saying. I do not know the significance of it though. Im still learning all this. I guess I will need to go get the gap tester from auto parts store to check.

    Compression is 70 PSI on both. I do not have a spark gap jump device to test it with. I have not checked the Fuel Pump Diaphragm. I have checked spark with the plug sitting on top of the cylinder head and each had a strong blue spark.

    Update: The new flywheel in and works perfect! I ordered new recoil spring and rope, now that's all fixed and working great. Put the boat in the water today and it didn't have any power at all. I adjusted the low speed and it seemed to give it a lot more power but when running WOT it just does...

    Ok so the new Flywheel came in early! Put it on and viola no more rubbing the mag plate. I went to start it and the pull rope came off in my hands. Does anyone know of a rope I can just go get from Lowes / Home Depot or auto parts store?

I got this motor from a guy recently and it ran but had issues with misfiring so I went and bought all new coils, condensers, points, and spark cables.     Well I checked and triple checked everything. This time I took the spark plugs out and put the flywheel back on and rotated it by hand and it is still pulling the mag plate. I then looked carefully at the flywheel as it was spinning and there is a noticeable wobble to the flywheel. As if...
