    bulb wont get hard, fuel leaks out my carb vent

    I cant get my bulb to stay hard before fuel ends up coming out my vent hole on the top of my carb. I tried taking it apart and seeing what the problem was. Does anybody have information on how to properly seat the needle?

    johnson 9.5 pops out of forward when opening throttle.. Clutch dog? Cradle? ect?

    My 9.5 shifts fine into gear, but when i open the throttle even a quarter turn, it pops back into neutral. I put a new clutch dog cradle in it a week ago. the dog looked ok, but i didn't really know what to look for. any ideas? thanks.

    How can I tell if my fuel pump is working properly. does it act as a check valve? or should i be able to blow through both sides. I just rebuilt it, but I'm not sure if it's correct. Just curious what it should act like.. Thanks.

    Just inherited a 9.5 johnson. I rebuilt the lower unit, cleaned up the old head gasket (new one on order now), changed spark plugs, and cleaned the carb. I tried to start it and got nothing.
