The iboats forum moderators are excited to announce that at this time it appears the iboats forums posting pictures function is working once again. Though we cannot promise for how long, we're hoping for indefinitely.
Ok guys, 1971Evinrude 100hp again...
I have dissembled both of my carburetors. The bowl looks clean, but has a little junk.
The seating for one of the slow speed needles is completely gone/dissolved. I can only pull junk out. WOW
I am pretty certian this was causing a rich condition...
Hello guys,
1971 Evinrude 100hp here, compression 120,120,115,115 - spark good. The cylinder number 3 seems to be misfiring and losing power, BUT, only on idle! Ignition ok, spark plugs good, I am in total confusion and loss on what is causing this problem , only thing I can think of...
Hey guys,
Do you think this is a good idea? I have not seen anyone putting stringers in the middle, might be a reason for that? All and any suggestions are most welcome!
Hey guys,
I need a carb kit for 1971 100hp Evinrude. I found a carb kit right here on iboats, but the part numbers dont match.

Hey guys,
I have just changed my fuel pump. This is a 1971 Evinrude 100hp. Running on muffs, on idle, It seems like it is running higher rpms/richer, smoking, dropping rpms, and slightly vibrating. Question is, do I have to re-adjust my carbs for the new pump?
Thank you.
To make more sense I am including a picture, I think I should lower the roller a little down, or maybe move it back? What do you think guys?
Right now it sits right under the bow eye.
Hey guys,
Recently my motor has been giving me troubles, what is one to do if the motor fails and you are nowhere close to any ramp or people? No back up motor or means to move the boat.
I am wondering if this is a good idea, having lines from the tanks go into a T and than a single line to the motor, basically consuming fuel from the both tanks at the same time.
Hello guys,
So after a few weeks of working on the boat, today we finally took her out to the local lake.
Being a first timer for backing up a trailer and releasing the boat, things went quite smoothly. She started up and we were on our way. During the first 40min of the ride everything was...
Hey fellas,
I have a rather strange question. As I was changing my gear lube, spark plugs and doing some regular tune up, I noticed that my "Rich & Lean" adjuster is not attached to anything. Took a quick look in the manual and it seems that I am missing the whole "Bellcrank Assembly" that fits...
Hey lads,
My tow vehicle is RWD Nissan Xterra with 5spd manual transmission. I have recently purchased a 17ft bowrider, and installed a hitch from U-Haul. Have not tried towing it yet, and I have never towed anything before. I figure it would be a little better with the manual trans, right? Any...
Bass. We all love to catch them, its one of the greatest fighting fish out there. It can be cough on live or artificial bait, from the boat or from the shore.
Since this is a nation-wide forum, I am interested and quite honestly a little curious what everyone is using out there on the water...
Hello,

I am also new and pretty uneducated when it comes to boats. Recently, I have purchased a 1971 Dixie with the mentioned motor. This is my first boat, and Id like to...
