I have a 1999 225 hp optimax outboard with a trim motor issue. I need to replace it. I have been reading here that you have to take off the transom bracket to get to it, but from the looks of things, it seems that I could remove the center piston/pump , drop it down, get access to the trim...
just bought a 1995 Robalo CC, 21'. The plastic/ vinyl boat letters on the side towards the rear are faded/ gone. Where can i get new ones ? they are the tall, 12" or so and somewhat squared off.

I have a 1999 Optimax, 225 hp, 2 stroke. I live in MD/ DC area and want to winterize it. I just bought a bunch of things, some may go back :
1- winterizing kit ( tank for anti-freeze)
2 - bottle anti freeze
1- can crc fogging spray
after reading some posts- looks like I may not need any of...
i just go aused set of carbs from ebay... need to adjust them . where are the screws? any diagrams. Its a 1994 2 stroke , 40 hp , 4 cyl. Merc. any advise ? lol.
I have a 40 hp mercury, 2 stroke, 4 cyl- 1990's. will idle fine, run in the driveway ok. At plane/ wot - it dies. IT started 4 trips ago. 1st trip would go to WOT, but got on plane, second trip, got on plane in the am, would not plane later, last trip , would not plane.
