Was going to put a perko on my pontoon tonight and the directions say to use a battery with the same polarity i have on thats a 800 cranking amps and one thats 500 cranking will this be a problem or to i need to shell out for another battery?
I have a 21' suntracker pontoon with a 40hp mercury and was wanting to change props to see if i can maybe get a little more speed out of this under powered boat or not it runs almost 5900-6000rpm right now at wfo any suggestions would be great

Was wondering if i can put a external oil tank on my 2000 mercury tracker outboard my motor is hard to fill with oil being on a pontoon boat usally just makes a mess.my 1996 mariner 150 has one should not be a problem thanks any info would be great
iI have a 2000 40hp mercury tracker sometimes it starts right up and then sometimes it sounds like the battery is dead when it is not i can keep bumping the key and after awhile it will fire right up what could it be maybe the starter or the cilinoyd sorry cant spell please help:mad:
