Johnson 1996 6 hp higher RPM miss clunk

Apologize in advance - I'm sure this is posted somewhere but search and FAQ's turned up nothing for me. I cleaned the carbs and plugs on this engine that hadn't been run in a couple years. That corrected most of the poor running/idling issues (still stalls at low RPM, but that may be...

    1970 Jetflite resto (Glastron)

Hey all, Thought I'd post a link to a resto I'm working on for others to laugh at. I did a GT-150 a couple years ago that came out nice but obviously learned a lot. I'll be hitting this one hard this winter. It was a freebee heading to the dump (and I hate the classics going to the dump)...

    Carb cleaning fluid sprayed

Johnson 1999 90 High end miss question

Hi, I read many posts before asking a question and do have a manual but still have a couple q's. I have a slight high RPM miss. Seems to make a little chatter as well. Runs great mid to idle. Just seafoamed it and running it off tank with some in it. As suggested in other posts I will...

How to verify fuel lines etc are updated for ethanol?

I bought a 99 Johnson 90 and was wondering if there is a way to check the lines to see if they have been updated. May give me a clue if the carbs have been too? Thanks.

What kind of steering is this cable from?

I'm not clear between teleflex, rotary, rack, etc. I hope this cable and it's corresponding steering section up front can work with a later model engine without the big metal plate (worm drive) in the back. I have a 79 glastron 150 and am planning on upgrading the engine. Thanks, Steve
