    Easiest way to weigh a boat

    Most used boats are on unregistered trailers, so taking one to a set of scales is not plausible--that's if there are scales within a reasonable distance. Anyone have any ideas on some sort of portable scale for weighing a boat on a trailer?

    Are Boston Whalers as prone to waterlogging as other boats?

    They are known to be well built and "unsinkable" and usually are pretty expensive, but are Whalers as prone to waterlogged foam as any other older fiberglass boat? A 1995 Dauntless has caught my eye but man, I just don't know about that waterlogging issue.

    I just don't read/hear about foam issues with aluminum boats; is there a difference with the foam in older aluminum boats as opposed to fiberglass?
