    Lower unit fill hole is blocked!

    My 1975 90 hp merc. there is something in the way for me to pump 80-90 in to the lower unit. I can see it thur the little fill hole, it is something inside, blocking the hole. Moving my gear shift, don't help. WHAT CAN IT BE? And I suppose I fill it to the top hole with lube, right. Thanks...
