#1: There is a disc-like thing fiberglased right into the bottom, all the way stearn, just below the drain-plug and nothing visible from the outside of the hull. It has a wire coming from it, and it reminds me of a coax cable, with a center stiff wire. It seems "all factory". What is it? What does it do?

#2: How does an electric gas gauge work? Can I calibrate it? I can understand some electrical lingo.

#3: I have a double wire that is not hooked up to anything and it travels right with the two hyd. lines to my starboard t&t cylinder. It's hidden by lots of thick steel in that mounting area. I hope thats enough info. My t&t motor does not work properly and will go to the shop for rebuilding soon. I can't imagine that the double wire question has any thing to do with the motor not working.
Thanks All. Deb's fixer!

The disc-like thing is more than likely a transducer for a fish finder or depth meter.

An electric gas gauge sender is a rheostat in the gas tank using a float to move it responding to the fuel level. It sends a variable resistance signal to the gauge.

The double wire is probably from the trim unit either sending a signal to a gauge to show trim angle or a trim LIMIT switch so you won't trim up too far while underway. Depends on OB or I/O.
