I figure there is no harm in trying this I have a 25" shaft that I want to convert to a 20" if anyone out there is looking to go the other way I am willing trade my lower unit and all other parts for extension in order to get the lower unit and bolts. Or if anyone has lower unit for sale I may...
I have a 2003 mercury 125hp with a 25 inch shaft I am trying to change it to a 20 inch. I have been looking at everything I would need to do but I can't figure out how to get the cooper water tube out so that I can take some length off.
