    How can I tell if the VRO has been removed on a 1990 Johnson 120?

    I bought a boat that has a 1990 Johnson VRO 120 on it. The motor starts easy and runs great. The guy I bought it off of traded for it and knows nothing about it. How can I tell if the VRO has been removed and that I need to mix my own oil. Any help will be so greatly appreciated it.

    Water Pump Problems XR2 150!!!

    150 Mercury xr2 exhaust gasket????

    My rubber exhaust gasket inside the exhaust housing is ripped and I want to replace it while I have it apart. If anybody has a part number for this I would greatly appreciate it.

    Mercury XR2 150, Need help once again!!!

    Ok took the power head off and the lower part. I need to find the parts number for a wear sleave and a sealing ring, I have looked but im not having any luck finding them. Also what all gaskets do I need to put it back together. The wear sleeve had a crack in it.

    We removed all bolts to remove the lower unit. No matter what we try we cannot get it to break loose. Any tips or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Mercury XR 2 150 no water at idle!!!

    I have a Mercury xr2 150 and there is no water coming out when idleing but it comes out when it is giving gas. Wondering what the problem could be?
