    ring gap .012 enough?

    got a 1967 johnson 3hp and have a new block and standard piston rings....My question is the rings have .012 end gap, is that good or is more needed?

    1967 johnson 3hp lightwin jhf 22 ring end gap?

    Hi I just got a lightwin that has pitting on the cylinder walls....I could only get 30 psi on each.....I found pistons and rings .020 OS....My Question is what end gap should I be looking for? And piston clearance? The old rings have like .028 end gap.....and .0025 on piston to sidewall...
