has anyone used royal purple gear lube and noticed a change in the sound of there drive. They claim that it will quite gears. I already use the volvo synthetic lube, just wandering if it would help reduce my gear whine.

Does anyone know anything about the gear whine issue that volvo is having on its late modle dps-a and sx-a outdrives. I heard that volvo switched to a straight cut gear which is the cause.
