Can anyone enlighten me on the reliability of a merc 120 hp? Do they seem to be a good engine/drive or do they have a ton on inherent mech problems? I know there are a lot of variables but overall would you say it is a good engine/drive setup?
I am going to purchase an old Glasstron 20 ft boat with a mercruiser 120 I/O. It has set a while but parts look clean (no salt water useage). I love the old tri hulls as a stable fishing platform and was wondering if it would be worth the costs to completly go through the engine and drive train...
