    92 johnson 40 hp change fuel from VRO P/N

    I have a disconnected VRO. The motor runs runs but dies out. I need to squeeze the bulb and it stays running. I have read other threads where people say it's the fuel pump. I still have the VRO fuel pump on the motor. I guess I need to change it to a straight gas pump ? If so, does anyone know...

    92 Johnson 40 hp fuel pump tank problem

    Does the ball on a external tank have to be hard all the time while running? I have to pump it up ever so often. I let it go for a while and the motor slow until I pump up the ball. Is there a way to check if it is a fuel pump problem or a tank problem? The tank is plastic. I really don't know...

    92 Johnson 40 Hp idle

    I purchased a 92 Johnson 40 VRO. Disconnected the VRO and run 50:1 via local dealer. This motor won't start. It wants to but it won't idle. If I push the plunger and keep it revved I can get it going. It runs great at slow and faster speeds. It just wont start and idle. I suspect carbs. Looking...
