    Motor won't turn off with ignition

    I have a 1980 Johnson 35 hp outboard that will not turn off with the ignition switch. One "m" wire is going to ground and he other wire (black/yellow) is not connected to anything in the engine compartment. I believe that wire should be going into the 3-wire connector for the ignition coils...

    Magneto wires from igniton not connected

    I have a 1980 35 hp Johnson outboard and am trying to figure out the ignition wiring. One wire is B - battery, one is S-starter, C-choke and the two remaining wires which one is black and the other black with a purple strip. I assume these would be the magneto wires. One wire goes to ground...
