    Hi All, i have a 1977 70hp johnson outboard and i need a new gear control cable. problem is here in the UK i can't get hold of a cable to fit. the teleflex 479 type cable fit 1979 onwards and apparently i need a 400 type cable. the difference as far as i can see is at the control box end...
