    I just picked up this old evinrude yesterday and I cant get spark at all. I have the flywheel off and noticed that there is no antireverse spring. Would this cause a no spark issue if its missing? What other things can I look for? I am completely stumped.

    I replaced head gasket and a muffler gasket but water us still getting in cylinders. I noticed smoke, water, and exhaust coming from an area on the port side of engine and snapped a pic. Anyone know what gasket us leaking or what us going in here?

    How many turns on lock nut on trim pump pressure relief valves

    I was cleaning out pressure relief valves on trim pump. It looks to be an older 80's Force pump. I did not count the turns and now they are out of adjustment. Does anyone have any idea how to adjust these without gauges? It's for a 1990 sp 290 outdrive.

    When I try to raise and lower trim it clicks when pushing down and nothing when pushing up button. The drive raises and lowers perfectly when 12 volts is applied to directly. I have a feeling there is not enough voltage being applied from the switch. I was wondering if anyone had any advice...

    Just bought a 1990 Glastron Sierra 175

    I am not familiar with Volvo Penta systems. Was told the cooling system is closed, what does that mean? What steps should I take before a water test? The boat fires right up and sounds great and I believe the engine is a 130 hp 4 cylinder engine. Is this enough power for a 17 foot boat?
