my buddys 1980 evinrude 100 has spark,140-145lbs compression in all.idles like crap,spits and dies at idle and wont plane up.just pushes water.was running fine last fall.Im gonna check carbs tomorrow. will crossflow 140 carbs bolt right on?
I wanted to replace the seal on the main ram on my tilt and trim for my 1985 140 looper.tilt and trim is removed from the motor,so I can really get to it.but I cant get the top off the main ram cylinder.i made a spanner wrench that fit 3 holes of 4 on the unit.to no avail. JoeReeves or...
my service manual says use dextron trans fluid.my motor is a 1985 120. I know the manual is 20 yrs old, but does this still apply for today? thanks all
I have a center console fishing boat.with the transom for a 20 in motor.the transom is fine. i want to build the transom up so i can put a 25 in shaft motor on it. i dont need the whole transom rebuilt, i just want to build it up strong to support my 25in shaft 140 looper. thanks for any help.
I've looked around on this web site for new carbed johnson 150 and it said looped scavenged or something like that.does that make it a looper like my v4?and whats the diff between the 150 and 175?thanks all
just wondering what units,the rams and everything, fit my 1985-140 evinrude? theres a lot of marinas around me with alot of junk motors.some small,60hp or so.do I have to be close to my year?or will all 2 wire motors and rams bolt up?thanks
