    22' Islander rebuild

Not sure if the door is original, but it was in the boat when I bought it. There is a compartment for a pota-a potty in addition to the "beds" up front. My 19v has a wooden bifold door to cuddy which I am sure was original. The aluminum door on the 22' seems factory as far as fit and finish.

    1974 starcraft islander overhaul

Most bracketed boats run a 25" shaft outboard to keep the motor out of the water at rest.Do some research, there is a formula they use for length of bracket to height on the transom,My 19v islander has a 25" shaft OMC outboard on a Seadrive bracket from Starcraft.

    22' Islander rebuild

I couldn't decide if I wanted the rod holders to stay or put side panels on the sides of the boat. How about a half panel and leave the rod holders in place? It is a fishing boat after all. So I built the panels and covered them in marine vinyl and cut out new rod holders and painted them.They...

1985 StarCraft Islander 221v fixer upper.

Take a handsaw and saw down the sides of the tank.Very gently! Then very gently pry up on corners of the tank.My tank had foam only where it leaked thru the stringers at the ribs.I think some of the foam was used to keep the tank from moving also.

    22' Islander rebuild

Progress report for today. Built the rear seat boxes and set some old seats on them for mock up. Also built motor cover and set that in place, looks pretty good to me.I think I will hinge the seat boxes to flip forward for access behind them. Along with the doghouse.

    1979 Starcraft 16’ SS Refresh

Regarding your rubrail ,I found the easiest way to install it was remove the corner caps and spray the rail down good with WD40 and start the insert at the rear corner. Keep spraying and pushing until you get to the front of the boat.
