    Personally I think I just happened to get a lemon motor. I hope that whomever purchases that boat will have better luck than I did. Somehow though I don't think they will be lucky.     I don't know if they have a specific boating lemon law like they do for motor vehicles but there are warranty laws that would have applied had I taken legal action. I don't know the specifics but the attorney I spoke with told me I did have a case should I decide to take legal action.

    The T-18 also came with a Mercury O/B. The Stingray I bought comes with a 115 HP Yamaha. I hope to have better luck with the Yamaha although I have always been a Mercury guy.

    Slip size

    One perhaps disadvantage is your boat will stick out past the end of your dock. My last boat was 34' overall and I was in a 35' 9" slip. Boat fit in there nicely with room to spare. Didn't have to worry about someone clipping the stern accidentally.

    The prevent defense does only one thing. It prevents you from winning. So, you don't give up the BIG play just a lot of small ones. I absolutely despise the so called "prevent defense" it sucks.
