I signed up pretty easily for an actually free Imgur account without too much effort and have been posting them that way. I just paste the imgur links into these text boxes and they work, so far.. It's a pain but an ok work around. That's an option for ya.

Thanks, she's getting there, slowly but surely. All these damn O rings and seals have been slowing me down a bit but I've also been working on gathering up critical items like railings, controls, and the swim platform components. Really looking forward to working on the swim deck. Then she'll...

Got the inner transom plate tightened down pretty good after putting the new pork gasket on the outside, sealing the outdrive to transom. Marine loctite to seal the wood in the holes and a few imperfections.

That's a good point, don't need to have a nearly 100% redundant setup. The other thing is taking on more than you have time, energy, space for can easily prevent the main project from really flourishing like it should. Although, having both models would look really cool sitting side by side in...

Save the old girl and have two competing for your attention! lol You might end up liking them both the same, or maybe one will prove the other is definitely what you want/happy with. 22 Chieftain has a nice cabin.

My girl surprised me by secretly ordering the bellows install tool to make my job easier. Knew she was a keeper.. lol

After seeing a few elusive snapshots of a similar, somewhat less raised deck build on a 25 like mine (the "Salty Dawg"I think it was called) I really loved the flat/flush deck setup. I think it will be great, esp once the railings are on. I do plan on adding some storage under there, but later...

Thanks! This being my 1st I/O and always having appreciated the ease of access with my outboards- I tried to make the engine bay as open and convenient as possible. Seen plenty of layouts that explain the engine access horror stories...

A 5.7 in a super sport? Very nice, that must be a fast planing boat! Is it an SS18? I loved my 16! It didn't have the sharper V5 hull but always wished it did.

Out hunting for the partial hardtop materials today. Going to do a top from windshield to a little past the helm I'm thinking. Want to keep it light but strong enough to hold light storage if needed, some rod holders, lights, etc. so probably will be an aluminum skin over some sort of light...

Luckily I think I still have the shaped hose for the inside portion, believe it had a rubber plug in it to change the diameter if I recall but haven't located it just yet.

Gimbal bearing in, drive and exhaust bellows are in. Was a pain but made a nice template so I can cut a cork transom gaskets tomorrow. Wonder if this trim sensor works...

Anyone know if the water hose is a special type of hose or is it just plain old 5/8 automotive coolant line? I don't want to wait for a shipment if it is just 5/8 standard stuff. Hoping to get the transom plate back on ASAP.

I'm thinking since they look good I'm going to just run em as is with fresh oil and do a real early oil change after the first couple short runs to see how the fluid looks. Figure that should be telling. Hopefully the lower unit gears and beaeings are in good shape too.
