    Also possible that the port cover is causing it as well. I sprayed all around the gaskets below the fuel pump and it also died then too

    I got a fair deal on it and I they told me they couldn’t figure out the idle issue. I’m just a glutton for punishment.

    I guess I’m referring to the head gasket.

    Is that the brass screw above the intake on the end of the carb?

    Spraying this gasket in the rear killed the engine.

    Lower shift cable issues alpha 1

    I just installed a brand new oem lower shift cable by the book. I have at 1-2” of travel on the black sleeve on the motor side. I read that 9/16ths is the max travel on this. Any ideas?
