    its a thunderbolt ignition system, I have two wires that ride next to my carb that aren't connected and are most definitely for my electric choke. I think i've narrowed this down to the choke. Boat runs great minus the initial start.

    Something like that seems like the best option, shop vac tubes break all the time and crack prolly still viable to use but that's a nice setup. Those metal canisters still a little pricy though?

    Hello, does anyone have a recommendation on the pump they used to extract oil from their MerCruiser engine. Mines a 5.7 but not trying to spend the $80 on the pump from west marine. Has to be a better alternative that someone's come up with.

    The valve cover is on the engine currently and in the water. Trying to avoid all of that hassle and have a tool that is skinny enough to tighten that bolt down because I don't see another way to access besides removing manifold. Ill see if lowes or a snap on has something I can get in there...
