    It’s a bayliner ariva model. Fairly quick boats. She will go well enough with that engine on her. Check the transom, floor and stringers for condition though.

    Agree with above. Some confusion over prop actual pitch perhaps. But also agree with the last post. Make sure you have the tachometer set on the right setting. For 2 stroke cycle and 6 cylinders.

    Is it the pump with the oil res built in ? Famous for the check valves passing and allowing the outdrive to not hold position. Sometime in the early 90’s, VP changed the pump type to have the external oil res. You can retrofit this type fairly easily.

    Hour meter stopped working in VDO tachometer

    If it’s a digital lcd small screen at the bottom of the gauge, an amateur have a go hero, might have a wee look at the ribbon lead and it’s plug. Just occasionally you can repair this for pennies. Gauge saver also repair them professionally too.
