Tilt and Trim 150hp Mercury v6

If the Manual Release Valve is Open, the Motor will drop down. What do You mean, "I think I let the motor come down to fast"?

Tilt and Trim 150hp Mercury v6

If the Fluid is coming out of the housing, then the Housing is damaged, or the O-ring is bad. If the Fill Screw is not in Place, Fluid will spray out of it if the Pump is operated. I had an inline with the same Trim System, and I don't recall there being a Bleed Screw on it. Bleeding the Air out...

    Sacrificial Aluminum Prop

The Flex is probably even Less than 1/100", Where do you get your BS? Advertising/Marketing/Social Media?

What performance can be expected from this prop change?

Being that the Props are not likely the same Brand or Model, and different Diameter, not to mention Rake and/or Cupping, it is not an Apples to Apples Equation. A 3/4" change in Diameter, leads me to think that 22 is not a Prop for the Mercrusier

    Sacrificial Aluminum Prop

As I said, At speeds over a 100mph, the Flex would be approx 1/100". Water will move long before a Blade will Flex. But as I said many have fallen for that, basic Lie, and rushed out for a SS. SS Props are more Efficient because of thinner Blades, and the higher strength of SS will permit...

    Sacrificial Aluminum Prop

Yes, I am. There is some Misconception that these Blades are so weak/flimsy they flop around like the Blade is on a Pivot. While there may be a bit of Flex at Extreme Speeds(well past 100mph), it is still gonna be a very tiny fraction of an Inch. But it has been a Wonderful Marketing Sham to...

40mph Speed Limit for a Prop? That is a New One Reading the Chart, shows approx what Top Speed would be if the Engine was at top rpm, and that was taken into account for the Load If you use a Prop that is too low in pitch for the Load, the Top Speed you will get will be higher simply because the...

I don't think there is enough Space between the Propshaft and the Anti-Ventilation Plate to swing the Merc V6/Mercruiser Props.

Power steering pump cutting radiator hose - how did you guys fix yours?

In the 1980s, Olds 307s were known to have the Lower Rad Hose cut by the Belts. GM made a Hose Clamp that had a Shield attached/sticking out that put a Metal Barrier in the Way. I can't find the GM Part#, but it looked like this

    Volvo Penta Trim Questions

I rarely look at the Trim Gauge, when trimming. I use my ears and the Seat of my Pants. I trim up until the Boat begins to Porpoise for any given Speed, then trim a Tad in. At higher speeds, 50+, I keep an eye on the Water Pressure Gauge, and my Ears tuned for the Sound of the Prop losing Bite...

    Difference

Since we aren't able to examine the 2 Props to see any Differences in Blade Design(Shape and Area), Cup and Rake, even Blade Thickness, a firm Answer is not really Possible. Props of different Brands, or Models, throw all kinds of Curves to the Answer, even if they have the Same Dia, and Pitch...

    Process for changing boat trailers?

You might want to reconsider about towing with the Extension in Place, as it will reduce the Weight applied to the rear of the Tow Vehicle, and increase the Chances of the Trailer Fishtailing.
