    EXCESSIVLY slow in gear trolling will build up gunky deposits. IF you reduce the trolling motor speed to low ? It will run too cold of a engine condition. Put the trolling speed where it belongs. ALL the fish can catch any trolled bait or lure. Been there and do that.

    Replacing transom foam seal

    I would NEVER put any type of glues on any removable surfaces. You may need to reopen the surface again. Large areas to seal ???? Have unbelievable areas that will not separate easily !! Screwed up 1 time with a 4200 type of sealant. A horrible time with electric heaters and 3 of us.

    As a P M thing. There is NO NO reason to always lock down any motor during normal boating. I never lock down any motor that is going into shore lines. Only time I lock down a motor is about 1/4 mile from a docking area I am going to enter.
