    Sears outboard

Absolutely. Good starting point, if nothing else. You can always go down to "free to a good home" easily enough. ;)

    Sears outboard

^^^ Jim makes a good point, that I kinda' rolled over. Sentimental value is it's thing: I have two of my great grandpa's old outboards. One is an Evinrude like yours, just older. Mine are both in working order, but essentially valueless - except that they were grandpas. I remember being all over...

Can anyone ID the make/model of this boat?

In Google's search bar, hit the little camera / box - ish icon far right: Then a new dialogue pops up:

Can anyone ID the make/model of this boat?

Image search using Google says it's a 2012 Sea Ray Sundeck 260.

    Sears outboard

Welcome aboard. I moved your thread to see if we might get some better answers. I don't know anything about the Sears motor. The Evinrude is a 1961 lightwin 3HP. Yeah, the value is gonna' be low. Maybe nuthin' at all, just get 'em out of your way.

    Sound deadening

I think my doghouse has the same type of stuff used in cars: I'm no expert, but I think you can find all types of them on Amazon.

    Best boat lettering removal?

What he said. Until they're brittle and it's a war to get the small pieces off. Then I risk the rubber wheel. Don't go too crazy with the thing, and you shoulnd't hurt the finish.

    Airbrushing graphics?

^^^ I like the look of airbrushed graphics done well. I've even seen a lot of hand painted stuff that looks AMAZING. But there's so much ready made available printed vinyl for what you're talking about, I'd give that serious consideration first. In addition to what keyboardman said, they're...

    Larson 210 Senza

Welcome aboard: The rub rail is not OE, really. It was a supplier piece. You can buy any rub rail that fits your channel. If you need a new channel, you can find that as well.

Just thought I'd share a nice photo.

Been up in Northern Michigan this week at our family cottage: Went over to the AuSable River for a couple of hours. The view from our shoreline during the day. Sunset from the shore.

    Heat

... so far it's taking this one about 23 years. I do okay, but when we hit 90 and above, I struggle.

    MacBook Pro . . . Tragedy

Depends. I feel like after Catalina they started streamlining the OS a bit. But I like starting with an older OS on a reinstall and working my way up.

    ^^^ Same in TN.

    MacBook Pro . . . Tragedy

^^^ I would stay back a version for the time being. Ventura is the new one, and it's pretty good and stable ... but Big Sur was solid.

    MacBook Pro . . . Tragedy

Might be a little late to the party, but if you've got another Mac at hand you can create a USB Installer. Might be able to just wipe it completely and re-boot with that. Sounds more like a hardware issue, but sometimes it works out the other way. But ... the M2 is a nice chip :)

When you're 20 miles from home and see this bearing down on you...

I know the ocean is different: I've only been caught on the Gulf in a storm once, and fortunately I was not the skipper. We had launched from the beach, so had to come in the same way. There was no way to "ride out" the storm, so we had to break the surf and get to the trailer. But dude knew...

When you're 20 miles from home and see this bearing down on you...

Got caught like that once here in TN. What was the worst was we beat the brunt of the storm back to the ramp; but the waves were coming big enough that I ran the risk of bashing the keel on rocks to get to the dock. Glad y'all made it in.
