    boat stalls when put in gear after running fine

    I'm currently adrift. Boat runs fine for a while until i stop. Then when i put in gear (forward or reverse) it stalls and wont start back up. After about an hour it starts back up fine. Ive already adjusted lower shift cable and timing. Any ideas? Also any way ro get it to restart sooner?

    motor stalls in reverse then wont start back up

    should flappers be noisy at idle?

    Just bought a 1986 ebbtide with 230hp omc. When going slow the flappers are a little noisy. Clickity clack etc. The boat seems to ru fine otherwise (other then i suspect i may have a leak somewhere, still need to look into that) Should i be concerned about the noisy flappers?
