Been looking at either Rejex or 303 to protect the gel from chalking. Both are popular, but from their site info not sure if they are the same generic. They both state gloss retention and out performing conventional wax. 303 touts UV protection for fiberglass, vinyl and leather. Rejex touts...

    Tow Toy Tow Rope Protection

What is the potential to get popped in the face if the tow rope breaks? Is there something like a weak link near the toy so the rope springs toward the boat? Just curious if this is something be concerned about.

    Transom Bunk

I'm in the process of changing the side rollers to bunks. I am thinking about cutting a 4x8 (actually 2, 2x8's epoxied and screwed together) to match the curve of the bottom of the transom so that 90% of the transom is in contact with the bunk. Am I being an over achiever and wasting a lot of...

The rollers just o/b of the keel rollers have just about had it. The cross members on the trailer are 4 feet apart. Considering converting to bunks but use the roller 12" wide brackets. What do you think about drilling width way thru a 2 ft long, 2x12 board to receive the roller axle and fit...

I have an old Powerwinch and I'm tired of straining of pulling set cable out of the winch and the occasional stab of a broken strand. Is there any reason not to change to a strap assuming it can be attached to the drum? Thanks, Mike

    Rot Proofing Bunk Boards

I have read thru several threads on the bunk and roller debate and only saw a few mentions on bunk board rot. These discussions have gotten me to consider changing to bunks. Rot on the 3rd Coast is a major issue. So when I change, I want to take the best precautions to perserve the boards. I...
