    This is from it on the muffs from standard garden hose. I also have fuel cell return water line off watching flow and watching ECT temp om my Axiom MFD. I did the same with watching starboard motor which is fine both temp and water flow.

    No but I wish I did on my 01 298 vista when I put 6.2's in it. Port oil filter is a ***** on that boat to change.

    UPDATE: Ended up being BOTH fuel pumps were bad. Motors are running now.

    So what was the verdict? Having same issue. I suspect drive as I had opened mine up, but I replace water tube, nipple, grommets, seals etc. I changed all lower seals on that drive. Hopefully I did it correct

    Old impeller was fine , no missing pieces. I replaced anyways. Brand new thermostat. Water flows good at 1500 + rpm and cools down via temp from laptop hooked up. I guess I will be pulling drive again...

    5.7 GSIPEFS raw water cooled overheating at idle/low rpm. Brand new impeller, new long block, exhaust, etc.. changed all seals in drive and water pickup tube. Have fuel cell cooling return line off- don't get any flow until 2000 rpm. On muffs in driveway. Other motor runs fine cools at idle...

    Any one know the size of the bolt off hand? Dropped one in bilge. The 4 small Allen head cap screws that are removed when changing the impeller on a VP 5.7 GSIPEFS from 2001. Thanks

    Yes all original sensors , motor is a TBI no sensor on crank or cam. No dtc or faults on either motor.

    Yes I believe, but don't appear to be spraying enough fuel, I believe it is an ignition issue. I used original dizzy looked good. What would cause slow crank? Sounds fine turing over just doesn't get past 150 rpm. The 6.2 rotating assembly wouldn't slow the starter down vs, a 5.7 -would it?

    DP-SM Water nipple installation

    Putting drives back together after painting/rebuilding. Putting pivot housing back in, how far does water nipple threads stick out? Are they supposed to extend past plastic nut? Forgot to take pic. Here is what I have after putting back together.
